What is A Pre Wedding Shoot

So what exactly is a pre wedding shoot or an engagement shoot and do you really need one? Well first up it is a great way to meet your photographer and videographer and learn and experience how they work. Do you need a pre wedding shoot? Answering honestly, probably not, but wait, hear us out. Not only are pre wedding shoots or engagement shoots a great way to get to know your photo and video team but they offer you some great quality time in front of the camera learning how to get comfortable for the wedding day and getting some great images while you do it!

Where to have a pre wedding shoot

Anywhere you want! For a pre wedding shoot we are happy to travel within a 1 hour radius of Manchester but can go further afield if you wish and travel is covered. A 1 hour radius of Manchester gives us some great locations from city centres (Manchester & Liverpool) to epic countryside surroundings and gardens such as Fletcher Moss in Didsbury, Entwistle reservoir Or Rivington. It’s really up to you and we are more than happy to help come up with ideas.

What do we wear?

Keep it comfortable. Wear something that you are happy to be photographed in but are comfortable in and remember your surroundings. Don’t go for a countryside adventure in brand new shoes and jeans. Think about co-ordinating and complimenting each other too, you don’t want to clash with each other on your photos. Also as daft as it sounds remember the seasons too, if we are heading out in winter then shorts are less than ideal and in summer a big coat really isn’t the one!

Relax and be Yourselves

Ok this sounds easy. At first it will feel uncomfortable and a little un natural but just try to relax and enjoy the process and each others company. Take a deep breath, relax and take your time. It can be a little un nerving at first but we just want you to have fun and make the most out of it.
