“First of all, Willington Hall is one of Cheshire’s premiere wedding venues. Built in 1829, it’s a family-run country house set within 17 acres of beautifully cultivated and landscaped gardens and parkland with water fountains and rose gardens (which are the most perfect backdrop for your wedding photographs). The house has been in the family for over three generations, so it’s fair to say we’ve built up lots of experience and know-how during this time.
Willington Hall is tucked away in the foot of the Willington Hills, just 15 minutes outside of Chester, and its views look out across the Cheshire plain. It’s a secluded wedding venue which exudes romantic charm thanks to its period features and decadent decor.
Ornate ceilings, a magnificent floor-to-ceiling mirror reflecting the elegant solid oak staircase opposite, and chandeliers adorned with crystals in the main hall set the scene for your grand entrance. It is your big day after all, and these memories need to last a lifetime.”

This wasn’t Bellis & Bryant’s first visit to Willington Hall! We actually photographed a wedding there back in 2018, and we were lucky enough to do another wedding here! This time round it was for Tory & Sean, and what a fab day it was!

Church Ceremony followed by reception at Willington Hall
I think what we love most about Willington Hall is that you can really make the venue your own! You can either have the full day and get married in their beautiful orangery, or out on the lawn (if the UK weather lets you!), or you can opt for what Tory and Sean did - a lovely intimate church ceremony with their nearest and dearest.
This amazing couple were wed in St Helen’s church just round the corner from Willington Hall, after the ceremony it was party time! Canapés, followed by lawn games, a bouquet toss and wonderful speeches.
Summer nights at Willington Hall
We LOVE summer weddings! We like that the warm, lighter evenings takes people outside where they can mingle and enjoy the sunset… or even a bouquet toss or two (more on that later…).
We rounded up Tory & Sean’s wedding out on the lawn, where one of her best pals played a guitar solo to all the wedding guests as the sun went down. Good food and chilled vibes was the name of the game at this wedding.. and it certainly delivered!
